The book has been published within Places of Worship: Centre for Ethnocultural Cohabitation Project financed under the PHARE-Democracy Program of the European Union and implemented by ACCESS in 1998.

The book shows a multifarious gallery of pictures depicting the every-day life of the people in the region of Kurjali, their customs and beliefs.

Places of Memory is the result of ACCESS’ efforts to promote tolerance and respect for the cultural specificity of “the others” in the perspective of common places of worship.
