Community Change Project (1995-1997)
The main target group of the project was the Roma community and other
disadvantaged groups, which have been subject to a policy of
marginalization and discrimination in the course of history.
The
project aimed
to promote a two-trend
process: first, to stimulate building and strengthening of
community-oriented organizations and initiatives and second, to develop
lobbying capabilities and resources in rallying support for
their participation
in
the political process.
The
project
activities encouraged
coalition
building among community organizations
for the purpose of
lobbying Government and Parliament on concrete cases and issues.
Within the
project,
ACCESS published the Why Not?
Newsletter
(1997). It
comments on community development
principles and
practices. |
