This book was published within ACCESS’ Civic Network for Cultural Pluralism and Multicultural Integration in Southeast Europe Project implemented during 1997-1999.

The publication is a product of the efforts of the Bulgarian interdisciplinary research team of experts in philosophy, sociology, pedagogy and history. The authors try to define the ways in which intercultural education naturally takes its place in the current Bulgarian educational system. They treat both the pedagogical base of intercultural education in Bulgaria, and the one that has already been established in Europe, and then their interaction in the current situation in Bulgaria.
