The book is an outcome of the project Civic Control in the Republic of Bulgaria: Principles, Parameters, Practices implemented by ACCESS in the period 1996-1997.

This is one of a series of books introducing the Bulgarian public to the studies that explore the mechanisms of civil society building in Bulgaria; the new political culture; the socio-economic situation in Bulgaria, etc.

This is the main goal of the collection as the revealing of the transition period mechanisms and keeping the citizens aware of the topical issues are the basic prerequisites for a successful civil society building.
