The
book Bulgaria – Serbia. Access to
Information Issues comes as a result of the Access
to Information and Media Legislation cross-cutting project
between SEENPM and BHRN, implemented jointly by ACCESS–Sofia Foundation
and Belgrade Center for Human Rights.
The
book is based on the papers and materials presented at the workshops held
in Belgrade and Sofia. It aims
at presenting different perspectives of the access to information issues
in Bulgaria and Serbia. It tries to describe the present situation and to
examine the difficulties and problems in the two countries as well as to
offer practical advice for solution of these problems. The book also
presents
practical experience of people and organizations dealing with access to
information issues and offers
advisable strategies for the future to other groups of people dealing with
the same problems of the access to information and media legislation in
the region.
The
book reviews the legal framework of access to information in Bulgaria and
Serbia, examines the practical aspects of its implementation, and
identifies some current problems. Special attention is paid to media
legislation in the two countries. Contributors to this publication are
experts in the field of law, media, human rights and political science,
mainly from the NGO sector. |
